College Counseling

As a college preparatory institution, St. Joseph's is dedicated to providing the best college preparation for each student based upon his or her abilities and desires. As part of this mission, the school provides college counseling for high school students and parents to help provide direction, focus, and assistance in selecting and gaining admission to colleges and universities that will best suit a student and provide for his or her future success.

College advising begins in the ninth grade and continues through the senior year with group meetings designed to inform parents and students about the process and important aspects of academic preparation - college visits, proper curriculum selection, standardized test preparation, recommendations, college essays, interviews, etc. In addition, there are several individual meetings with parents and students to address specific concerns relevant to each student.
